Unless you are a citizen of Canada, you will need a valid passport and, if required, a visa to enter the country. A visa is required for some international countries to enter Canada. See below for more details. If you require a letter from ILEA to apply for a visa, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
For detailed information on entering Canada, visit: Canada Border Services
U.S. citizens should bring a passport when visiting Canada (Americans can cross the U.S. border to Canada with just a birth certificate and photo ID, but you'll need your passport to go home again.) U.S. citizens don't need a visa for a stay of up to 180 days.
International visitors to Canada (not including U.S. citizens) must carry a valid passport and, if required, a visa when entering the country. Citizens from the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Australia and others do not need a visa to enter Canada.
New entry requirements for Canada
To minimize travel disruptions to Canada-bound passengers, travel agents should inform citizens from countries other than the U.S. who do not need a visa to enter Canada that they need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to board their flight. Transit passengers should apply before they board the first flight on a multiple leg journey.
For more information, visit the following sections of Canada's Citizen & Immigration website:
Citizens from visa-exempt countries should ask their Canadian consulate or embassy what other documentation is required. You can find embassy locations on the Foreign Affairs Canada website:
If you require a letter from ILEA to apply for a visa, please contact email@example.com.
